México City.- Miguel Torruco, Secretary of Tourism of the Mexican capital, said that more than 80,000 Mexicans will visit Cuba as tourists in 2015.
Torruco said to the Cuban press agency Prensa latina that mexicans prefers Cuba because of its historic, cultural and natural attractions. Cuba has also become a circuit of interest for Europeans and Asians based on Mexican chains’ multidestination.
Torruco said that Mexico is in a position to link destinations in Latin America and ranks first among tourist destinations in the region, followed by Brazil, Colombia and Costa Rica.
